Day 1: Yogyakarta arrival
Arrival at Yogyakarta then transfer to hotel. In the evening you can explore Yogyakarta by taxi on your own to the famous Malioboro street, enjoy the hustle and bustle, souvenirs vendors, and even try to bargain to get the best offer. By night, this street offers ‘lesehan’ resto where local artists will approach you and serenade you with their talents, etc.
Day 2: Borobudur & Candirejo Village Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a visit to Borobudur, one of the world’s most famous temples, standing majestic on a hillock overlooking lush green fields and distant hills.
Continue with a visit to nearby Mendut temple. Older than Borobudur, this pyramid-shaped temple houses three impressively carved stone statues. You’ll also visit Pawon temple, a simple yet beautiful monument known for its precise symmetry. Following the temple tour, stop for lunch at a restaurant set amid the rice fields.
Continued with a drive through the village to get a taste of local life with a horse cart ride through Candirejo village. You'll travel along small lanes lined with traditional houses and stop to see village activities such as making cassava crackers, playing the gamelan and harvesting and drying of vanilla and chili. Return to Jogjakarta for a chance to relax and freshen up.
Day 3: Cetho & Sukuh Temple with Walking Around at the Plantation
Whole-day trek through the mountainous village of Cetho and visit its beautiful temples. Travel around 1h30 minutes from Solo or 3h30 minutes from Yogyakarta to the lush tea plantations of Mt. Lawu at around 910m above sea level. You’ll ascend the scenic mountain roads to reach the isolated 15th century Cetho Temple, which, unlike the other Hindu temples, this temple seems mysterious and has a strong spiritual aura. Beside its calm, quiet and beautiful scenery, a trip to Cetho temple is challenging and arouses adrenaline.
Walk through the beautiful tea plantations, soaking in the sights and aromas. Enjoy the greenery, silence, and climate surrounding this slice of paradise. Then visit Sukuh temple, a temple decorated with wayang stone carving of Hindu origin. This temple is the only erotic temple in Java
Day 4: Sultan Palace - Tamansari – Kota Gede - Prambanan
